Collection: What is Sublimation?
Sublimation Printing Process: Sublimation printing uses a special kind of ink that, when heated, turns into a gas without turning into a liquid. This gas then penetrates the polyester fibers of the fabric. When the heat is removed, the ink solidifies back into a solid, becoming permanently embedded in the fabric.
Key Differences from Other Printing Methods: Unlike traditional methods like screen printing, where the ink sits on top of the fabric, sublimation printing infuses the ink into the fabric's fibers. This results in a design that is highly resistant to cracking, fading, and peeling. It also allows for seamless, all-over designs that can extend from seam to seam.
Advantages of Sublimation Shirts: Sublimation shirts offer several advantages:Durability: The designs are highly durable and long-lasting, resisting fading, cracking, and peeling.Vibrant Colors: Sublimation printing allows for bright, vibrant colors and intricate designs.Seamless Designs: It allows for all-over printing, creating unique and eye-catching designs.
***Please note that dark colored shirts can't be directly sublimated and require heat transfer vinyl applied as a base. This will cause the graphic to be thicker than lighter colored shirts that be sublimated only.
